No. 18 Men's Water Polo Opens The Season at No. 5 Pacific

On the road for the first six weeks of the season, the No. 18 Broncos faced off against No. 5 Pacific Saturday in their season opener and lost 19-7.  The Broncos will head to Princeton, NJ., next weekend for the Princeton Tournament. Be sure to catch their games on ESPNU!

The Broncos kept the game close early, but the Tigers marched out to a 5-2 lead later in the first quarter and made it 10-5 at halftime.  Pacific blanked the Broncos 5-0 in the third quarter but the teams both scored multiple goals in the fourth quarter with the Broncos dumping in two and Pacific scoring four.

Pacific was lead by senior attacker Balazs Erdelyi who scored seven points for the Tigers, including three in the first quarter.
