Hobbs Named to CoSIDA All-Academic Second Team

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Bronco men's water polo player Stephen Hobbs has added another accolade to his collection of awards after being named to the at-large men's sports CoSIDA District 8 All-Academic second team Thursday.  It was the first time Hobbs had been selected as a CoSIDA All-Academic Honoree.

Earlier this year, Hobbs was recognized as an ACWPC All-American, while also being named to the WWPA all-conference first team. The senior captain was also selected as the team MVP.  Hobbs collected a career-high 35 goals and 44 ejections earned in his senior campaign.

Hobbs has been equally impressive outside of the pool, being named to the ACWPC All-Academic team four times in his career.  Hobbs earned a NCAA  fall sport postgraduate scholarship, one of just 29 male athletes to receive the award nationwide.

Hobbs owns a 3.74 grade-point average while double majoring in Communication and Political Science, while gaining membership in the National Political Science Honor Society. He will graduate this June.
