No. 16 Water Polo Opens Season At Princeton Tournament

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The No. 16 Santa Clara men's water polo team will open the 2009 season this weekend on the East Coast, taking part in the 11-team field Princeton Invitational.
The tournament begins Friday night at DeNunzio Pool, site of the 2009 NCAA Championship, and the Broncos will take on MIT at 7:20 p.m.
Santa Clara is slated for two matches on Saturday, taking on Fordham at 11 a.m. and then host No. 11 Princeton at 6:30 p.m. The match against the Tigers will be airing on tape-delay on New Jersey's Verizon Fios1 Channel on Verizon Cable Systems state-wide and will also be video streamed on GoPrincetonTigers.tv.
The Broncos will finish up competition on Sunday against Harvard and George Washington before returning back to the Bay Area for next weekend's prestigious NorCal tournament held at Stanford.
