Wishart Named Comcast Community All-Star

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara University freshman goalie Michael Wishart from the men's water polo team was named the Comcast Community All-Star Award winner for the month of September. He will be was presented with the award by Dan Coonan, Santa Clara University Director of Athletics and Recreation, during halftime of one of the Broncos' basketball games this winter.
A native of Hillsborough, Calif., Wishart has spent Tuesday's and Thursdays during this past summer at the Reikes Center in East Palo Alto volunteering his time to teach tennis and tutor kids in various subjects.
As of Oct. 8, Wishart ranks fifth in the nation with 151 saves and has earned Top Performer honors from the WWPA this season.
The Comcast Community All-Star Award is presented to Santa Clara student-athletes who are active in benefiting their local community. The award was developed two years ago and is presented monthly to a different student-athlete who is positively contributing their time and energy to help others.
