SKILLMAN, N.J. - Santa Clara University freshman Chris Lam moved up 12 spots in this week's Intercollegiate Tennis Association's National Rankings. Currently ranked 104th nationally in singles, Lam entered the listing at No. 116 two weeks ago, the first-ever national singles ranking for a Bronco player.

Last week, Lam upset two ranked opponents at No. 1 singles to help bring home two Bronco victories. He has gone 10-1 in his last 11 matches and finished the regular season with a 24-9 record.

Although currently not ranked in doubles, Lam also made history in December with doubles partner Rick Ruso when the tandem began the season ranked 53rd, marking the first national ranking ever for a doubles tandem in the Bronco program.

As a team, the Broncos fell two spots and are currently ranked 57th. Last week, SCU's 55th ranking marked the highest listing ever for the program, dating back to its debut in the national spotlight two seasons ago.

Santa Clara will next be in action April 19-21 at the West Coast Conference Championships, hosted by Saint Mary's in Moraga. Opponents and match times will be released on Thursday.
