SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara men's tennis team will host conference rival Gonzaga University on Saturday February 23, at 2:00 p.m. at the Degheri Tennis Center. The Broncos look to get their second win of the season over the Bulldogs, who are coming off a 7-0 loss to Eastern Washington. Gonzaga, currently 3-4 in the dual season, will travel to the Bay Area for the first time this season. The Bulldogs will face UC Davis the day before they play Santa Clara.
Santa Clara's Jay Wong, who has taken command at the singles No. 1 position, looks to win his sixth match of the season versus Gonzaga. He improved his record to 5-1 this past weekend, after defeating Cal Poly's Andrew Gerst, 6-3, 6-4.
