Late Results: Men's Tennis Falls to Cal 6-1

BERKELEY, Calif. - The Santa Clara men's tennis team lost to 27th-ranked California 6-1 in dual action on Saturday at the Hellman Tennis Courts, falling to 5-5 on the year. The Bears improve to 4-3 on the season.

Although Santa Clara lost the doubles point to begin the match, the Broncos' top tandem of sophomores Mike Bruggemann and Ryan Livesay upset the 31st-ranked team in the country, defeating Cal's Scott Kintz and Adrian Barnes by an 8-6 score.

Santa Clara returns home for a West Coast Conference match against Gonzaga on Tuesday, March 13. The contest is slated to begin at 2 p.m. at the Santa Clara Tennis Center.
