Men's Tennis Defeats San Francisco
SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara University men's tennis team defeated San Francisco 5-2 in West Coast Conference action this afternoon at the SCU Tennis Center.The Broncos improve their record to 6-4 on the season and close their five-match home stand this week, hosting Gonzaga on Wednesday and UT Pan American on Friday. First serve is set for 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively, at the SCU Tennis Center.
In singles action, junior Bronco Federico Mattioli continues to impress as he dominated Axel Elvik throughout the match. His teammate Francisco Zepponi edged out a win against Christian Dyvik as he was down 3-6, 2-5 and won the next eleven out of thirteen matches to defeat his opponent.
The Broncos took all three match-ups from the Dons in doubles play.
