No. 60 Men’s Tennis Hosts St. Mary’s and Pacific During Alumni Weekend; Senior Day and BBQ on Saturday
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – As part of its first annual SCU Men’s Tennis Alumni Weekend, the No. 60 Bronco men's tennis team will host St. Mary’s and Pacific in an exciting weekend of tennis and events on the Mission Campus. The weekend will features matches against two local WCC opponents as the team’s final home matches of the season, Senior Day, a BBQ, and an alumni match.

Ilya Osintsev of No. 60 Men's Tennis Named WCC Singles Player of the Week
SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference announced its men's tennis weekly honors on Wednesday, and No. 60 Santa Clara's Ilya Osintsev was named the WCC Singles Player of the Week. It was the third time this season that Osintsev has received the award and he becomes the first player to earn the honor three times this season.

The No. 64 SCU men's tennis team was edged out by University of Portland on Sunday in a tight road contest. After defeating No. 39 Oregon on Wednesday, the Broncos fell just short, 4-3, in a highly competitive match with the Pilots.

No. 64 Men’s Tennis Travels to Portland for WCC Matchup
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Coming off an exciting upset over No. 39 Oregon, the No. 64 Bronco men's tennis team travels to Portland this weekend in hopes of moving up the WCC standings and national rankings. The Broncos knocked off the Ducks, 4-2, on Wednesday and Oregon became the highest-ranked team that Santa Clara has defeated this season.

No. 64 Men's Tennis Upsets No. 39 Oregon, 4-2
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The No. 67 men's tennis team turned in a tremendous performance on Friday, stepping up its game to earn a 4-2 win over No. 39 Oregon. The Broncos played outstanding tennis and had terrific energy throughout the match in taking down a competitive Ducks squad. At No. 39 in the country, Oregon becomes the highest-ranked team that Santa Clara has defeated this season.

2nd Annual Santa Clara University Tennis Yam Cup
The Santa Clara University men's and women's tennis teams will host its 2nd Annual SCU Tennis Yam Cup, a rare opportunity to play with the student-athletes and support both programs. The fundraising event will be held at the Degheri Tennis Center on Saturday, May 31st. The cost to attend the event is $20 and FREE for all SCU Tennis Alumni.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The No. 64 Bronco men's tennis team split a pair of WCC matches last weekend, and looks to move up the rankings with a win in a competitive non-conference match on Wednesday. The Broncos will host No. 39 Oregon on Wed., Apr. 9 at 3pm.

No. 67 Men's Tennis Tops BYU on Saturday; Falls to No. 55 USD on Friday
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The No. 67 men's tennis team split a pair of WCC matches this weekend, defeating BYU handily in a 6-1 final on Saturday and falling to USD, 4-0, on Friday. In the BYU match, John Lamble picked up his 16th victory of the season and his 76th career win, moving him into second place for all-time singles wins.

No. 67 Men's Tennis Hosts No. 55 USD and BYU in First Home WCC Matches
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The No. 67 Bronco men's tennis team got back to its winning ways against Willamette on Friday and it looks to pick up more victories during the season’s home stretch. Santa Clara is ranked No. 67 nationally in the latest ITA poll and has an 11-4 record in 2014. The team is 8-1 at home, 2-3 on the road, and 1-0 at neutral sites.

Men's Tennis Defeats Willamette 7-0
The No. 57 Santa Clara men’s tennis team returned home Friday and got back to its winning ways with a 7-0 victory over Willamette College. After hitting the road for its first four West Coast Conference matches, posting a 2-2 record, Santa Clara will host San Diego on April 4 and BYU on April 5.

The No. 57 Santa Clara men’s tennis team, on the road for its fourth straight West Coast Conference match to start the season, lost 4-0 at No. 49 Pepperdine on Tuesday afternoon in Malibu. The Broncos return to the Mission campus to host Willamette Fri., March 28 at 12 pm.

Bronco Men's Tennis Falls At LMU
Playing its third straight West Coast Conference match on the road, No. 53 Santa Clara fell 4-0 at LMU on Monday afternoon. The Broncos are 10-3 and 2-1 in the WCC and the Lions are 10-5 and 2-2 in the WCC. LMU has won six straight matches. The order of finish was 2-3 in doubles and 6-4-3 in singles.

WCC Two-Game Road Trip On Tap For No. 53 Men's Tennis
Santa Clara’s men’s tennis team, ranked No. 53 in the most recent ITA poll, hits the road once again in West Coast Conference action early next week, playing at LMU on Mon., March 24 at 12 pm and then at No. 42 Pepperdine on Tues., March 25 at 2 pm. The Broncos return home to host Willamette on Fri., March 28 at 12 pm on the Mission campus.

Santa Clara continued its scorching streak by winning its eighth consecutive match, once again in lopsided fashion.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Riding a six-match winning-streak, the No. 42 Santa Clara men’s tennis team heads up to Spokane, Washington for its conference opener against Gonzaga. The Broncos moved up 32 spots this week in the ITA rankings due its recent success. Santa Clara is off to its best start in over a decade. Santa Clara and Gonzaga will square off on Sun., Feb. 2 at noon.

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference announced its men’s tennis weekly honors on Tuesday, and Santa Clara’s Ilya Osintsev was named the WCC Singles Player of the Week. Osintsev, the No. 2 singles player for the No. 42 ranked Bronco men’s tennis team, is a perfect 5-0 during the 2014 dual match season and 9-2 overall including fall play. He has played a large role in helping the Broncos to their best start in over a decade.

Men’s Tennis Ranked No. 42 Nationally After Jumping Up 32 Spots in the ITA Rankings
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Bronco men’s tennis team shot up a remarkable 32 spots in the ITA Rankings released on Tuesday, and is now ranked No. 42 in the country. It was the ITA’s first computer rankings of the 2014 season. The previous rankings were based on the NCAA coaches.

No. 74 Men’s Tennis Downs No. 69 New Mexico, 4-1, for Sixth Consecutive Win
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The No. 74 Bronco men's tennis team continued its impressive run on Sunday, knocking off the No. 69 New Mexico Lobos, 4-1, for its sixth consecutive win. The Broncos were on fire during February, finishing the month with a perfect 5-0 record including several strong wins. The Lobos entered Sunday’s match with four straight victories of their own, but had their winning streak snapped.

No. 74 Men’s Tennis Downs No. 57 San Diego State, 6-1, For Fifth Straight Win
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The No. 74 Bronco men's tennis team turned in an outstanding performance on Thursday, beating the visiting No. 57 San Diego State Aztecs. The Broncos were firing on all cylinders and won the match 6-1, extending their winning streak to five consecutive matches. They also snapped San Diego State’s run of three straight wins, which included a 6-1 defeat of No. 66 BYU.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Playing some its best tennis of the 2014 season, the No. 74 Santa Clara men's tennis team returns to the court to face a pair of ranked opponents. The Broncos will first host No. 57 San Diego State on Thurs., Feb. 20 at 3pm. On Sunday, Feb. 23 at 11am Santa Clara welcomes No. 69 New Mexico.

No. 74 Men's Tennis Bests Fresno State 4-0; Earns First Win Over Bulldogs in Program History
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The No. 74 Bronco men's tennis team continued its early-season momentum, defeating Fresno State on Sunday. The Broncos clinched the match 4-0, topping the Bulldogs for the first time in program history. The schools had faced off 18 times prior to Sunday’s contest. Santa Clara has now reeled off four consecutive 4-0 victories since falling to No. 4 USC in the ITA Kick-Off weekend.

Santa Clara received 50 points in the preseason poll which tied it for fourth in the conference with Bay Area rival USF. The Broncos are 2-1 on the 2014 season, including a strong 4-0 win over No. 64 Georgia State on Sunday in the ITA Kick-Off Weekend consolidation match.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The No. 73 Bronco men’s tennis team started the 2014 dual match season with a strong group effort, helping them prevail over a spirited UC Davis squad on Saturday. The Broncos began the new season by winning 4-3, after a 17-10 overall record and 13-3 mark at home in 2013. The Aggies, who went 8-13 in head coach Eric Steidlmayer’s first year in 2013, put up a spirited effort but came up short, as Santa Clara earned its first win of the season.

No. 73 Men's Tennis Opens 2014 Season Sat., Jan. 18 vs. UC Davis
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – After completing a successful season in 2013, the Santa Clara men's tennis program will open 2014 looking for another positive year. The Broncos notched a solid 17-10 overall record and went 13-3 on their home courts in 2013. They were nationally ranked almost the entire season and finished at No. 68 in the country.

Men’s Tennis Opens 2014 Season Ranked No. 73
SANTA CLARA, Calif.- After an excellent 2012 season with numerous program records and a first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance, the Bronco men’s tennis team posted a strong 17-10 overall record and 13-3 mark at home in 2013. The squad was ranked nationally and finished at No. 68 in the country. The Broncos kick off the 2014 campaign at No. 73 in the preseason rankings, return three of their top five players from last season and look to contend in the competitive West Coast Conference.

Santa Clara senior John Lamble is set to play in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's All-American Championship in Tulsa, Okla. alongside the nation's top players next week.

John Lamble Ranked No. 64 to Enter Senior Year
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The ITA announced its 2013 Division I Men's Preseason Rankings this week and Santa Clara Bronco senior John Lamble is ranked No. 64. Lamble, the Broncos’ No. 1 singles and doubles player, anchored the roster last season and has been a key contributor each of his three years on the squad.

Rising senior John Lamble (JL) wants to leave everything on the court for his final season. Having an outstanding past three years on the men’s tennis team, Lamble wants to enjoy this journey and have no regrets. With sister Kelly graduating this June after helping the women’s team win the WCC title, Lamble’s father also played tennis for the Broncos. Santa Clara Broncos (SCB) had the chance to get in contact with Lamble and ask him a few questions about the upcoming season and what he is doing this summer.
