FRESNO, Calif. - The Santa Clara University men's tennis team continued fall action today, competing at the 11th annual Bulldog classic, hosted by Fresno State at the Wathen Tennis Center.
"Physically, we are not getting tired; we're hitting good balls and playing good matches, but on the mental side of things is where we need to improve," SCU head coach George Husack commented after the day's matches. "It's still early in the season and we don't necessarily need to focus on the wins and losses as we should on improving, and I think we're doing that. We had some close matches, we just have to keep battling."
"Kevin and Gernot both had it going today," Husack added. "Both were focused and playing some good tennis. I'm looking forward to seeing them playing again tomorrow."
The Classic continues through Sunday. The Broncos will close out the fall season at the ITA Regional Championship October 17-20 and the Southern California Intercollegiate November 5-9.
