Head coach Cameron Rast, on game: "Early on we did not play particularly well and we were not as sharp as we needed to be. As the game went on, I think that we started to gain confidence and we created a number of chances that could have resulted in goals. There were three or four great chances near the end of the game that just did not go in. At the end of the day, you have to score goals and we were not able to do it tonight."
Rast, on performance: "It was really important for us to put in a good performance tonight after last weekend. We got back into good form and got our confidence back. Sometimes it is almost more important to play well and tie than play poorly and win. I think that the team is feeling good about itself right now and that is important going into the game Sunday. Performing well tonight sets up well for Sunday night."
Junior Matt Marquess, on performance of defense: "It was pretty solid in the back tonight. After last weekend, the coaches were telling us to step more and try to prevent them from getting comfortable in the attack and I think we did that. Also, we were nice and tight in the back and really did not give them too many chances."
Marquess, on bouncing back from last weekend: "We definitely restored our confidence with tonight's game. We got a shutout and we proved to ourselves that we can play well so I think we are ready for the conference season."
Freshman Jeff Cosgriff, on chances in second half: "We played some pretty good soccer in the second half, but in the end we did not convert the chances that we got. It is a good game to build off for the upcoming matches."
Cosgriff, on crowd: "It was amazing and a lot fun to have so many fans out there. The crowd support definitely helps and gets us going. We look forward to more games like this."
Freshman Sean Danzeiser, looking ahead to University of San Francisco: "We are all excited to go up there and play our rival. Also, it is our first conference game and we need to get a win. If we relax in front of goal and put away our chances I think we will be alright."
