MOORPARK, Calif. - Santa Clara's men's golf team is currently in third place at the LMU/Farmer John Classic after the first round this afternoon at the Tierra Rejada Country Club, a par-72 layout measuring 7,015 yards.

Loyola Marymount leads the tournament with a 305, 17 strokes over par. Saint Mary's is second at 309, with Santa Clara seven strokes behind that, at 316.

Junior Sandy Horacek leads the Broncos with a three-over 75, just one stroke behind a trio of leaders. Senior Drew Corwin is also in the top 10, with a 77 for eighth place

The Broncos conclude the tournament and their fall season with the second and third rounds of the Classic.
