Men's Golf in 17th at Pacific Invitational
Oct. 2, 2000 STOCKTON, Calif. - The Santa Clara men's golf team is currently in 17th place after two rounds of the Pacific Invitational, hosted at the Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton. San Diego State leads all squads after shooting a 16-under-par 560. The Broncos are l7th of 17 teams, with a 48-over-par 624. The two-day tournament covers 54 holes. The Reserve is a par-72 layout measuring 7,000 yards. The Pacific Invitational includes 16 other teams: Alabama-Birmingham, Cal State Northridge, California, Fresno State, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, host Pacific, CS Sacramento, San Diego, San Diego State, San Jose State, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara and Washington State. Santa Clara will tee off first tomorrow morning of the final round of the Invitational.
