Men's Golf In Tied For 7th After Two Rounds

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara men's golf enters the final day of competition at the 2008 Saint Mary's Invitational tied for seventh place with UC Riverside. The Broncos have a team score of 583/+15 at the Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach, Calif.

The Broncos are currently led by top-20 finishers Jimmy Cacho, who is tied for 16th at two-over par, and Jonathan Keane, who is tied for 18th at three-over par.

Also representing Santa Clara in the tournament are freshmen Ronnald Monaco and Cory Mehl, and sophomore Tyler Ichikawa. Monaco is tied for 29th place, Mehl is tied for 67th and Ichikawa is tied for 74th.

The third and final round of the tournament begins with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
