Tournament Results in PDF Format

KINGSLEY, Mich. - Scott Travers and Jimmy Cacho turned-in Top 10 finishes at the Michigan State Spartan Classic, helping Santa Clara to top-tier team placing in its 2009-10 opener. The Broncos placed 6th overall at the 13-team event.

Travers - a Sectional Qualifier for the 2009 U.S. Open - was making his return to Division I golf after utlilzing a redshirt season a year ago. The 6-foot 4-inch junior from Trabuco Canyon, California, was just five shots off the pace after beginning the tournament with back-to-back rounds in the 60s.

Building on an 8th place finish at the WCC Championships as a junior, Cacho carded a 5-under 66 in round two, en route to finishing 10th overall.
