SCU Finishes 12th At San Francisco Intercollegiate

SAN FRANCISCO - Senior Jonathan Keane was the Broncos top finisher this week as the Santa Clara men's golf team took 12th place at the San Francisco Intercollegiate. Keane shot two over par and finished tied for seventh overall. Keane went 71-73-71, registering a team-best in all three rounds. Jimmy Cacho, who just +4 after the first two rounds, finished tied for 54th at +14. Scott Travers, who was 24 over par at the end of the first two rounds, fought back to finish 16 over par (82-74-73) and tied for 61st. Danny Cacho was 74th at +24 and Shaun Pienkos was 75th overall at +25. Santa Clara will continue its fall season at the Saint Mary's Invitational held at Poppy Hills in Pebble Beach, Calif., on Sept. 29-30.
