Yoon leads Broncos In First Round At UH Hilo Intercollegiate

WAIKOLOA, Hawaii - The Santa Clara men's golf team got their spring season underway Wednesday at the UH Hilo Intergollegiate from the Par-70 Waikoloa Village Golf Club. Through the first 18 holes, the Broncos are four under par with a combined score of 276, tied for tenth place. While right in the middle of the pack, the Broncos are off to a very strong start. Senior Jong Yoon is again the leader for Santa Clara. Yoon is tied for 10th individually after shooting a three-under-par opening round of 67. The Broncos had two others finish under par. Freshman Jimmy Cacho and Sophomore Garrett Logan each shot 69. Freshman Mike Miller finished the day with a 71 and sophomore Jonathan Keane finished with 72. Round 2 begins at 7:30 a.m., local time, on Thursday, February 8, with the final round on Friday, February 9.
