Bronco Men's Golfers Finish Strong at Oregon Duck Invitational

EUGENE, Ore. - All five Santa Clara golfers posted rounds in the 70's Tuesday during final round play of the 2012 Oregon Duck Invitational. Senior Ronnald Monaco was just 1-over par at 73 Tuesday and placed 35th among a strong national field.

True freshmen Brett Komoto (pictured) and Colin Gunstream played some of their best golf of the spring season, turning in final rounds of 75 and 76 respectively. Eugene native Bobby Monaco also carded a 75 Tuesday. Bobby Monaco, Komoto and Gunstream all totaled 235 spanning the three-round event and tied for 71st.

The host Ducks of Oregon shot a team-best 284 Tuesday and had each of the field's top three finishers. Andrew Vijarro won the event with a three-round total of 6-under par 210. UO's Eugene Wong (5-under) and Daniel Miernicki (4-under) placed second and third.
