For the first time in Santa Clara men's rowing history, the Bronco Varsity 8's out-raced all teams affiliated with West Coast Conference institutions at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships (WIRA).

Stage is Set for 2010 WCC Rowing Championships
The West Coast Conference women's rowing championships take place this Friday at Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, CA. The annual event began in 1997 and Gonzaga has dominated the event, winning 12 of the 13 titles.

Santa Clara won the feature race at the Sacramento State Invitational this weekend at Lake Natoma. The Varsity 8 boat out-raced the Cal Lights and Sonoma State for the top spot.

SCU Crew Hosts Black Velvet Event Saturday
The Santa Clara University athletics department and the Broncos men's and women's crew programs are hosting its annual Black Velvet event Saturday, February 20. The event celebrates the beginning of their spring competition season. The day begins with a morning row at the SCU boat house (at Lexington Reservoir).

SCU Men's Crew Rows New Boat for First Time
This January, five inches of rain have already fallen on Lexington Reservoir, home of Santa Clara Rowing. The rain has added 20 vertical feet, increasing our reservoir's row-able meters from about 1800 meters, to well over the spring race length of 2000 meters.
