Bronco Kidz Have Their Own Section in Leavey Center

The next time you are at a Santa Clara game in the Leavey Center that sound you hear is members of Bronco Kidz making their presence known! Young Bronco fans and members of Bronco Kidz have their own section - the Kidz Korner!

Located in section 115 in the Northeast corner of the Leavey Center, the Kidz Korner features special promotions, visits from Bucky the Bronco, cheerleaders, student-athletes from various Santa Clara sports teams, free giveaways and much, much more.

"The Kidz Korner is be a great place for all young Bronco fans to hang out, watch the game and meet other kids," said John Schuster, Santa Clara's manager of marketing and promotions. "We have a special place at the Leavey Center where kids can have place of their own to help make their trip to a Bronco basketball or volleyball game a special event."

Bronco Kidz provides an opportunity for Santa Clara fans in the 8th grade and younger to be extensively involved with Santa Clara teams and athletes.

Members receive a t-shirt, membership card, free and reduced admission prices to Santa Clara athletic events. There will also be specific events geared towards the group, including Bronco Kidz Night for various sports and free Kidz clinics. To further encourage youths to get involved in athletics, points will be awarded to members that attend events and participate in activities. Members with the most points at the end of the season will be rewarded with prizes for their involvement.

The annual membership fee for Bronco Kidz is $15. Membership cards will be mailed out upon receipt of registration information. T-shirts can be picked up at Santa Clara sporting events, or the athletics department. For more information, call 408-554-6921 or email kidz@scu.edu.
