FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - Jamie Holmes scored 18 points as Santa Clara fended of an Alaska Fairbanks rally Sunday to win the fourth-place game at the Top of the World Classic 63-49.

The Nanooks (1-2) rallied to within two points with 9:00 to play on a jumper by Doug Lamb, but Santa Clara came back with a 3-pointer from Kyle Bailey, a basket from Justin Holbrook and four consecutive free throws by David Emslie put the Broncos (2-1) ahead 58-47 with 4:10 to play.

Alaska Fairbanks star forward Bogdan Popescu fouled out at the end of the Broncos' run.

Santa Clara dominated late in the second half, closing with a 15-4 run. Brian Jones scored 7 points during the run, and Bailey sank a turnaround jumper at the buzzer to give the Broncos a 41-24 halftime lead.

The Broncos shot 69 percent from the floor in the first period while holding the Nanooks to 27 percent shooting.

Tommy Servine led Alaska Fairbanks with 18 points.
