Jason Stock enters his fifth year as academic support managerfor both the men's and women's basketball teams in 2011-12. Heoversees all facets of the men's and women's basketball studentathletes' academic plan.
A graduate of UCLA in 2005, Stock received a Bachelor of Arts ingeography. As a student at UCLA, Stock worked in the athleticmarketing department where he was the head of development andmanagement of marketing plans for the men's and women's soccerteams and the men's and women's tennis teams. After graduation,Stock remained with the Bruins' athletic marketing department withthe men's and women's basketball teams. He was successful ingenerating many promotional events for the Bruins' basketballteams.
In 2006, Stock joined the Southern California TennisAssociation's Countrywide Classic as a manager of Group Sales wherehis marketing skills helped generate large crowds for thetournament. In late 2006, he joined the Los Angeles D-Fenders, anaffiliate team of the Los Angeles Lakers, where he worked as amanager of community relations. While with the D-Fenders, Stock wasinvolved in NBA Development League initiatives including Read toAchieve and Heroes Among Us as well as organizing many game eventsfor children and students.
