Santa Clara is proud to announce it will broadcast live at least 21 men's basketball games this year on the Bronco Radio Network with KLIV 1590 AM airing 14 games and KDOW 1220 AM airing seven games. The remainder of the games will be broadcast live on the Broncos website, SantaClaraBroncos.com.
KLIV and KDOW will also broadcast the West Coast Conference Tournament and any post-season games with more information to be released at a later date.
Santa Clara continues to partner with KDOW 1220 AM and the first game KDOW will broadcast is the 8 pm game vs. San Jose State on Nov. 12. KDOW AM 1220 is the Bay Area's News Business Station, broadcasting financial news and information round the clock, powered by the financial engines of Bloomberg and CNBC. They are located in Fremont.
Anthony Passarelli is in his seventh year as the Broncos' play-by-play announcer. Former letterwinner John Stege will join Passarelli at home for the second season.
KLIV, Silicon Valley's News Station, will air at least 14 games this year. The 14 games include vs. San Diego Christian (Nov. 2, 7 pm), at Cal State Fullerton (Nov. 16, 3 pm), vs. North Dakota State (Nov. 29, 8:15 pm), at Cal Poly (Dec. 7, 7 pm), vs. La Sierra (Dec. 14, 7 pm), vs. UNLV (Dec. 22, 7 pm), at Gonzaga (Dec. 28, 5 pm), vs. LMU (Jan. 4, 3 pm), at Pacific (Jan. 11, 1 pm), vs. BYU (Jan. 18, 7 pm), at USF (Jan. 25, 5 pm), at San Diego (Feb. 8, 7 pm), vs. USF (Feb. 15, 8 pm) and vs. Saint Mary's (Feb. 22, 1 pm).
KDOW 1220 AM, which has been home to Bronco basketball for years, will broadcast at least seven games this season. Those games include vs. San Jose State (Nov. 12, 8 pm), Nov. 30 if Santa Clara plays in the Cable Car Classic Championship, vs. Sacred Heart (Dec. 18, 8 pm), vs. Gonzaga (Jan. 29, 8 pm), vs. Portland (Feb. 1, 7 pm), at BYU (Feb. 6, 8 pm) and at LMU (Feb. 27, 8 pm).
