Dick Davey, on game: "Sometimes it is a pretty simple game. It is about making shots and in the first half, Stanford did not shoot very well. Our team played hard and we played pretty good defense but if they had made more shots the game might have been different. I like our depth and how we are playing right now. We are starting to come around as a team."
Davey, looking ahead to Kentucky: "When you go on the road and you play the game the way it is meant to be played then you have a chance. We have some good talent here and if we do a lot of things right then we will do alright down there."
Danny Pariseau, on game: "You have to credit our coaches a lot tonight. They gave us a good scouting report. Coach (Steve) Seandel coached here before so we had a good idea of what they wanted to do and we were able to stop them from doing it. We got down on their big guys well and prevented them from scoring early on."
Pariseau, on three-pointers in second half: "I told Scott (Dougherty) in the huddle before he made that three-pointer, `You have to take some of those open looks you are getting.' Then he went out there and knocked down a big one for us. That got us juiced up again."
Pariseau, on non-conference schedule: "It is always big getting some wins under your belt before you get to the conference season. We just need to keep improving every game and we will get through this part of the schedule in good shape."
