Head coach Dick Davey, on game: "Our defense was very solid and we got back to what we are good at. Defense was a big issue for us and we really worked hard in that area. They are a good rebounding team so we wanted to do a better job on the boards and I think that we did that also. Those were some of the keys to the game."
Davey, on shooting: "Some games you shoot it better than others and tonight we did not shoot well from outside. We were trying to get the ball into the post tonight. That was our focus and we did a good job executing."
Davey, looking ahead to Gonzaga: "We will meet tomorrow morning and go over the scouting report. Our guys know them (Gonzaga) as well as any team in the league and I am sure they know us really well. We are going to have to play at a very high level obviously. Hopefully we can do that."
Sophomore John Bryant, on physical game: "I like banging inside and trying to score down low. They have some big players so it was tough. It wasn't pretty out there, but we got it done."
Senior Scott Dougherty, on game: "There were a lot of emotions in this game. First, any game against Saint Mary's is always a huge game so we really wanted to get a win tonight and we did. Also, they put us out of the tournament the last two times and it was nice to get one against them. It feels good to win soundly coming off the bad weekend that we had last week."
Dougherty, on rebounding from last week's two losses: "The two games last week were a wake-up call for us, especially the Pepperdine one. We are only good when we execute and do what we need to do to win. If we think that we are too good, then we might have a let down. We didn't shoot that well tonight, but we battled and got great inside post play."
Junior Brody Angley, on his late game steal and rebound: "I was lucky enough to come up with those two plays. It was important because we were trying to slow the game down and grind it out and that helped us do that."
Angley, on championship game: "We want to keep this going as long as we can. We need to go out and try and get a win tomorrow. We want to do it for ourselves, but we really want to get it done for the coaches, especially coach Davey."
Senior Sean Denison, on dunk with a minute left: "It was nice to score fast break basket after running the court all night. That was kind of a big moment, but Brody's (Angley) steal and rebound with four or five minutes left were the biggest plays at the end."
Junior Mitch Henke, on being a spark off the bench: "I just wanted to come in and make something happen. I was trying to bring a lot of energy and I was lucky to get some hustle points. My shot was dropping a bit so that was good."
Henke, on Broncos' defense: "Our coaches give us great scouting reports and that makes it a lot easier for us. We have to go out and execute the plan and tonight we did that."
