LAHAINA, Hawaii -- The Santa Clara University men's basketball team's opening round game against the University of Hawai'i in the 2003 EA Sports Maui Invitational on Monday, Nov. 24 will be televised by ESPN2, tournament officials announced.
The game is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. HST (8:30 p.m. PST) and is the final contest of the four first round tournament games. The San Diego State vs. Ohio State matchup will be played immediately preceding Santa Clara's contest. The first game of the day will feature host Chaminade against Villanova which will be immediately followed by Dayton vs. Central Michigan. All four first round games, and nine of the 12 games overall, will be televised by either ESPN or ESPN2.
Depending on the outcome of its first round game, Santa Clara will face either Chaminade or Villanova in the tournament's second round on Tuesday, Nov. 25. The final game will be played on Wednesday, Nov. 26.
Santa Clara's entire men's basketball schedule is expected to be made official within the next 10 days, once the West Coast Conference office finalizes its league television package. A tentative schedule is available by clicking here.
