"Obviously this wasn't a very exciting game to sit and watch for anybody. It was a poor performance based on the fact that Purdue did everything right and we did everything wrong. Hopefully, we can get better during the course of the season. Right now we are in a real negative position with our season. We are not playing very well and we have to get better obviously. Had Brian Jones played tonight, I don't think the outcome would have been a whole lot different.
"I think (the difference in the game) was a combination of their defense, their offense, their passing, their shooting, their dribbling, their running, their defending... You put it all together and that makes them a lot better than we are right now. The game was 38 to eight early and I would imagine that set a pretty good tempo for them right off the bat.
"Steve Ross played a lot of minutes tonight despite the fact that he just became eligible today. We were trying to get him a lot of minutes to get him acclimated to what we are trying to do. I think, down the road, he is going to be a pretty good player for us. This was a tough place to start."
