As a Freshman in 2004: Made 10 appearances on the season, all in relief... recorded 14 innings of work... posted a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 2.8, walking five batters, while striking out 14... struck out the side in one inning of work against San Francisco on May 7... struck out a career-high four batters in his first career start on May 11 at Stanford... also threw a career-high 4.2 innings against the Cardinal.
