Santa Clara enters the game with a 15-9 league record and tied for first-place in the Coast Division with Gonzaga. The Broncos are 21-26 overall, while the Bulldogs carry a 24-20 mark into the game. Santa Clara plays a Tuesday contest at top 10-ranked Stanford, while Gonzaga hosts Washington Tuesday at 3 p.m.
Gonzaga won two of the three games between the two teams in Spokane earlier this season. Santa Clara won the first contest by a score of 8-4 but lost the second game 8-7 in 10 innings after play was halted due to darkness. Gonzaga took game three of the series by a score of 10-7.
