Checking in with Cross Country's Stephanie Wilson

The Santa Clara cross country team is in a training camp this week in the Santa Cruz area. Last weekend Stephanie Wilson led the women to a third place finish at the USF Invitational. Wilson's sixth-place finish highlighted the women's effort in the 5K race when she ran an 18:18.10. Wilson was last on the team last year in the USF Invitational and head coach Tom Service praised her turn-around effort. Wilson, a junior from San Jose, is majoring in English and hopes to be a park ranger and a professional chef someday. The Santa Clara cross country teams hosts the Bronco Invitational Sat., Oct. 18 in Sunnyvale.
