SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara University's cross country teams will participate in five track meets in the months of April and May as part of their Spring season in preparation for the 2002 season which begins in September.

The Mission Harriers, who completed their 2001 season with a first place West Coast Conference finish on the women's side and a second place finish on the men's side, will look for similar results in 2002.

Despite not having a track team, the Broncos will participate in select running events at these track meets, the first of which takes place in San Francisco, Calif. San Francisco State University will host the Johnny Mathis Invitational on April 6, 2002.

Santa Clara will also take part in Invitationals hosted by Cal State Stanislaus, Long Beach State, Chico State and UC Santa Barbara.
