Final Stats

PASCO, Wash. - Santa Clara University men's and women's cross country teams each had a good showing at the Big Cross Invitational in Pasco, Washington on Saturday. The women finished third while the men finished fourth among Division I schools at the meet.

Tom Service and his women's team finished third among Division I schools, just behind Montana State and Boise State. Jenny Smokey was the top finisher for the women's team, finishing 12th in a time of 19:27. Robin Bell finished 14th in a time of 19:38, while Milena Basile and Erin Skourtes finished 16th and 17th, respectively in times of 20:00 and 20:01.

The men finished fourth behind Montana State, Idaho and Eastern Washington. Senior Thomas Chapman again was the top finisher for Santa Clara, finishing fifth among Division I finishers with a time of 25:52. Stephen Moore was the next highest Bronco finisher, coming in 19th in a time of 27:01.

The men's and women's teams will be back in action next weekend as they host the Bronco Invitational in Belmont, Calif.
