Cross Country Travels to Pascoe, Washington

Sept. 26, 2001

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara University men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Pascoe, Washington this weekend to compete in the Big Cross Invitational.

Thus far this season the men's and women's squads have performed very well, with the women winning their first meet and finishing ninth last weekend, while the men have finished second and third in the first two meets.

The Big Cross Invite will be a homecoming of sorts for four Bronco men and two Bronco women who competed in Washington throughout high school. Ricky Brackett, Benjamin Gauen, Mike Richmond and Chris Spicer for the men, and Milena Basile and Robin Bell all have experience on this weekend's course as Pascoe is the host city for the Washington High School State Cross Country Championships.

This will be third of seven meets for Santa Clara and the final meet before hosting the Bronco Invitational on October 6 in Belmont, Calif.
