Broncos Open Track Season At Kim Duyst Invitational

The Bronco track team opened the 2014 season at the Kim Duyst Invitational on the CSU Stanislaus campus on Saturday.  Kelly Ryan won the 5000m and teammate Emily Robinson was fourth.  On the men's side, Joey Berriatua won the men's 1500m and teammate Brynn Sargent was eighth.

Ryan clocked an 18:27.41 to win the 5k with Robinson finishing in 18:53.14.

Berriatua clocked a 4:01.44 to win the 1500m and Sargent finished in 4:08.80.  Sean Roe was 24th at 4:16.20.

Bryan Crook was third in the men's 5k at 15:20.11.  Ryan Greenough was 16th (15:39.91),  Moises Venegas was 17th (15:41.02) and Sam Holeman was 18th (15:42.53).

Amia Nash finished eighth overall in the 800m run at 2:24.73.  Kaeli Hancock was 13th at 2:25.68 and Hannah Peterson finished 22nd overall at 2:28.85.

Leland Wong was eighth in the men's 800m at 2:02.11.  Sargent was 18th at 2:05.44.

Kaitlyn Kuehn was clocked at 5:03.80 in the 1500m, finishing 18th.  Elsa Valenzuela was 26th at 5:10.36.
