SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara University men's and women's rowing programs will hold two informational meetings for individuals interested in becoming members of the team. Santa Clara Crew is a Division I NCAA Varsity team that competes at the highest levels of intercollegiate racing.

No prior rowing experience is necessary for either the men's or women's programs. The great majority of collegiate rowers have no rowing experience prior to their freshman year. The ideal candidate is someone who loves sports, wants to commit to being part of a NCAA Division I team, and is relatively tall (Women-5'8" and taller, Men-6'0" and taller). However, regardless of your height, a love of athletics, a passion for competition, and a willingness to learn a new sport is all that is required to become a member of these highly competitive crews. We are also looking for smaller male and female athletes (under 125 lbs.) to become coxswains.

The informational meetings set for Wednesday, September 22nd and Tuesday, September 28th at 7:00 p.m. in Daly Science Building, Room 207.

If you have any questions regarding the meeting or the upcoming season please contact women's head coach Stephanie Shepherd via email (shepherd@scu.edu) or at 554-4636; or men's head coach Tony Barcia via email (tbarcia@scu.edu) or at 554-4627. Additionally, if you have a disability and require a reasonable accommodation, please contact the coaches 48 hours prior to the event.
