SCU Rowers Win at Head of the Lagoon

FOSTER CITY, Calif. - The Santa Clara women's varsity eight-oared crew won the premier race at the annual Head of the Lagoon, sponsored by Lake Natoma Rowing Club, on Nov. 12.

The varsity women's crew covered the course in a time of 21 minutes, 01.1 seconds to win the women's open eight. Their elapsed time for the head race was well ahead of Saint Mary's College, which finished in 21:29.6.

The novice "A" and "B" squads finished second and third, respectively, in their race. In addition, a boat featuring Santa Clara alumni finished in second-place in the Open Men's 8.
