RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. - The Santa Clara University women's crew completed the second day of the WIRA Championships Sunday morning at Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, Calif., just outside of Sacramento.

The varsity eight competed in the petite finals at 11:20 this morning and finished second in a time of 7:14.1, just over five seconds behind race winner Pacific Lutheran.

The second varsity eight competed in the petite finals of their division as well, finishing third in a time of 7:34.4. The Broncos finished just behind Pacific Lutheran and San Diego.

The women's crew will continue their season in two weeks at the Pac-10 Rowing Championships held at Lake Natoma on May 18-19.
