SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Santa Clara University crew teams completed their participation in the San Diego Crew Classic Sunday afternoon at San Diego's Mission Bay.

Four of Santa Clara's five boats that entered events on Saturday were still around on Sunday for the final day of competition. The women's varsity finished sixth in its race, the Cal Cup 3rd Division, crossing the line in a respectable time of 7:23.94.

The men's novice team finished fifth in its race, five seconds ahead of Saint Mary's, crossing the finish line in a time of 6:35.19. The men's varsity finished fourth in a time of 6:26.16 in the Cal Cup Petite race, while the men's lightweight squad finished seventh in the Grand Final race of the lightweight division. The men's lightweight team finished the race in a time of 6:31.69. Yale took home the Secretary of the Navy trophy in the lightweight division, crossing the line in a time of 6:03.90.

Both the men and women will return to action in May, as the women will take part in the West Coast Conference Championships on May 3rd before joining up with the men to race in the WIRA Championships in Sacramento, Calif., on May 4-5.
