Zoë Kranzler joined the Santa Clara University Athletic Department in May, 2007 as the Academic Support Manager. Kranzler works directly with student-athletes from 17 varsity sports on the successful integration of their athletic and academic curricula, focusing specifically on their transition in to SCU. She and her colleague, Angela Munger, manage the athletic department's tutorial services and oversee student/faculty relations. Kranzler also serves as the main liaison between the athletic department and the office of Undergraduate Admissions.
A 2004 graduate of Davidson College, Kranzler earned her Masters of Education from UC Berkeley in 2007. In this course of study, she focused on the concrete and theoretical intersection of Academics and Athletics. While studying at Cal, she worked in the Cal Athletic Study Center.
In her relationship with student-athletes, Kranzler is best described as an advisor. A four year D-1 letter winner in field hockey at Davison College, she sees great academic support value in conversing with student-athletes about the growth that college as a student-athlete permits. In 2010, Kranzler began pursuing a second Masters in Counseling and Psychology as Santa Clara University.
Kranzler also served as a Resident Minister for six years, living and working in the ALPHA RLC . Living, working and studying at Santa Clara University, Kranzler’s love of the community runs deep.
