Zoë Segnitz joined the Santa Clara University Athletic Department in May, 2007 as the Academic Support Manager. Segnitz will work directly with student-athletes from all 19 varsity sports on the successful integration of their athletic and academic curricula. She will manage the athletic department's tutorial services, oversee student/professor relations and serve as the main liaison between the athletic department and the office of undergraduate admissions.

A 2004 graduate of Davidson College, Segnitz recently earned her Masters of Education from UC Berkeley, where she completed the program titled: "Athletes and Academic Achievement." Her program studied the concrete and theoretical intersection of academics and athletics. While studying at Cal, she worked in the Cal Athletic Study Center, guiding under-prepared football players to academic success.

Zoë previously taught at Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes, a private company dedicated to enabling individual learning process development. Segnitz worked with learning-impaired and scholastically under-prepared students helping them achieve mastery of basic literacy and higher order thinking skills.

Segnitz, a four-year letter-winner in field hockey at Davidson College, served as team captain her senior season. She has also coached field hockey at Los Gatos High School.

She will also serve as a Resident Minister for SCU's ALPHA resident learning community.
