These words were on the lips of thousands of loyal supporters, who thronged the campus of the University of Santa Clara last evening when the annual rally and bonfire was held in anticipation of the St. Mary’s-Santa Clara football game. Never in the history of the institution has there been erected a larger or statelier fire. It is estimated the pile of ties towered 65 feet in the air, far above senior hall.
