Pati Ruiz from women's tennis and Taylor Bedillion from men's tennis were named Santa Clara's Scholar-Athletes of the Week.

The senior from Chula Vista, Calif. has won her last two singles matches and has figured into at least one point in the last four matches for SCU. Over the weekend she posted a singles and a doubles victory during the Broncos 7-0 win over Saint Mary's. An OMIS major, she posted a 3.12 GPA during the Fall Quarter in the College of Business.

Taylor Bedillion

The sophomore from San Anselmo, Calif., has been on fire lately for the Broncos, winning his last two singles matches and two of his last three doubles matches. He is 17-6 in his singles matches thus far this year and is 10-6 in doubles matches. He posted a 3.82 Fall Quarter GPAwith an undeclared major in the College of Arts & Sciences.
