Who is the Santa Clara Cheer Squad?
The Santa Clara University Cheer Squad is comprised of currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate men and women, who are dedicated to raising Bronco Spirit by supporting Santa Clara athletic programs, athletic department events, and are also highly involved in the community.

When does the Santa Clara Cheer Squad perform?
During the fall sports season, the Cheer Squad can be seen at various sporting events, rallying the Bronco athletic teams.  The most active sports season for Santa Clara Cheer is the winter sports season. Cheerleader’s attend all home basketball games, leading the crowd in cheers and chants, and also perform at half-time. In March, they travel to the West Coast Conference Tournament to support the basketball teams for the conference championship, and also cheer at all NIT or NCAA championship tournaments if the teams advance.

What is the Santa Clara Cheer Squad practice schedule?
Santa Clara Cheer practices twice a week during the fall and winter quarters. Practices are scheduled according to the squad’s availability, which is determined by the coach after tryouts, during the week. Cheerleader’s also weight train with the strength and conditioning coaches, 2-4 times a week, in addition to cheer practice, as determined by the strength and conditioning coaches.
